On last week’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown, Daniel Bryan lost the Career vs. Universal Championship Match against Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and now, he officially banned from Smackdown. Now, fans are speculating over the Bryan’s future after he loss but it seems like his WWE contract expired.

According to the Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan’s contract expired or set to expire last week after his match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Several sources or talent in WWE told to Ross that they heard about the expiry of Daniel Bryan’s WWE Contract but Bryan is not openly speaking about his contract status. It was also noted that there were no mention of backstage farewell for the Planet Champion Daniel Bryan but it also mean that it didn’t happen privately.
Previously, in an interview, Daniel Bryan stated that many are speculating that his contract will be expiring on September, then, he clarified that it’s on going to expire on September.
“It’s funny that people gravitate towards the date ‘September,’ and I think it’s because that’s when my last contract ended, but it doesn’t end in September. I’m still trying to figure out what that looks like… I had a tag team match on SmackDown last Friday, and it was a lot of fun, but my neck was just wrecked,” Bryan said
Following his loss to Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan immediately moved to WWE Alumni section in the company’s website but there’s no clear information about whether he’s leaving company or it’s a part of storyline.
Fightful had also been told of Daniel Bryan being vocal to do ‘unconventional work’ with the company, as he wanted to do wrestle for other promotions along with working for the WWE.
