Previously, it was reported that WWE NXT Superstar Adam Cole contract will expire after Summer Slam weekend. It was also noted that originally his WWE contract ended after Great American Bash but he signed an extension that lasts till Summer Slam weekend.

Now, Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT reported that former NXT Champion Adam Cole signed an extension contract to ended his feud with his former Undisputed Era member Kyle O’Reilly at NXT Takeover 36.

The feud between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly started at NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day after Cole turning on his Kyle O’Reilly. They both started to attack eachother following episodes of NXT that led to Unsanctioned match between them at NXT Takeover: Stand And Deliver.

That hard-hitting main event match lasted for 40 minutes which was won by Kyle O’Reilly. Later, Cole costed Kyle O’Reilly NXT Title shot and then involved in Fatal 5-way match for NXT Title at NXT Takeover: In Your House show, in which Karrion Kross successfully defended against his four challengers.

Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly continued their feud and had another match at NXT Great American Bash. This Adam Cole picked up the victory against Kyle O’Reilly equalling the record 1-1 for each. Last week, Kyle O’Reilly attacked Adam Cole on the closing moments of NXT and it seems that WWE is planning another match between them at NXT Takeover 36.
