Booker T shares which match he thinks should headline WWE WrestleMania
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently did an interview with Sports Illustrated where he spoke about a wide range of topics.
During the interview, the legendary pro wrestler spoke about which match he thinks should headline this year’s WrestleMania 36 event.
According to Booker T, he thinks the match should be Drew McIntyre vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. It should be noted that this is the only match thus far announced for the show.
“McIntyre-Lesnar is a built-in story,” Booker said. “Drew paid his dues. He’s a guy that got fired, had to go out there and find himself, then work his way back up. Drew is a guy that was once labeled ‘The Chosen One,’ and then all of that fell through. To see him back, it’s only fitting to close WrestleMania with that match.”
“I was that guy once upon a time, so I know exactly how Drew feels right now,” Booker said. “It will be one of those stories where the guy who worked his ass off gets rewarded, and it will be awesome.”
WWE holds the WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 5, 2020 in Tampa, Florida at the Raymond James Stadium.
