SmackDown Women’s Championship Plans Changed for WrestleMania 36
WWE is just a few weeks away from WrestleMania. The last stop on the road to WrestleMania 36 is tonight’s Elimination Chamber event. The company seems to have changed their minds about the SmackDown Women’s Title match on the show of shows.
Bayley tweeted out that she’s giving the entire blue brand’s women’s division the night off at Elimination Chamber. That won’t be the case at WrestleMania.
The SmackDown Women’s Champion might say she’s taking WrestleMania off, but she’ll be wrestling. Bayley’s previous singles match against Naomi has been altered. According to Alex McCarthy, WWE is now making Bayley’s match a six-pack challenge.
A source tells me the plan for the SD women’s title at WM36 is a six-pack challenge right now.
Bayley v Sasha v Naomi v Lacey Evans v Carmella – that’s five of the six names.
This will be a much better way to feature extra women on the WrestleMania card. It will also be a very tough day at the office for Bayley.
Let’s see what WWE decides to do. They’ve also seemingly made a change to their plans for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles as well.
