Due this Pandemic WWE has been missing the several Superstars in the main roster. Some are away because of their health issues and some are out because of the Travel restrictions. At the same time, WWE has been using the other Superstars to build the momentum since the beginning of the year.
There are several low card Superstars getting the push in the WWE and had the great run in the company and getting more wins. So, let’s look at the five WWE superstars from both Raw, Smackdown and NXT with most wins in 2020 so far.
(Note: All stats are updated till the 27th May 2020 episode of NXT and have been taken from Cagematch.net)
5. Roman Reigns – 20 wins
The fact is that at WrestleMania 36 Roman Reigns was set to face Goldberg for Universal Championship. But due to health and safety concern he was pulled out of the match and replaced by Braun Strowman, who is now currently the Universal Champion.
This year Regins started fued with King Corbin. Corbin also teamed with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode and continued his fued with Roman Reigns. They also involved in a match of loser eat dog food, which was won by Regins.
Roman also teamed with Daniel Bryan once in Smackdown to take aganist The Miz and John Morrison. He ended his fued with Corbin after the Steel Cage match at Super ShowDown. And that was his last match in WWE this year.
4. Pete Dunne – 20 wins
Pete Dunne one the talented wrestlers in NXT he had the incredible run as the NXT Tag Team Champions along side with Matt Riddle.
Presently he got stuck in the UK due to travel restrictions. He miss the WWE TV for over a month now. In the beginning of the year the duo Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Later they had fued with undisputed era and also won the NXT Tag Team Championship from them.
They also known as BroserWeights and had the some of great title defenses against the likes of Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly, Imperium’s Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel, and Shane Thorne & Brendan Vink.
3. Matt Riddle – 25 wins
Matt Riddle the toughest competitor in the NXT had the tough couple of months. His partner Pete Dunne was unable to return to WWE due to travel restrictions and the replacement of his Pete Dunne, Timothy Thatcher had turned on him.
Riddle and Thatcher have been going at each other in the last few weeks now. They two had the incredible match in the Steel Cage but unfortunately Matt Riddle lost the match.
This shouldn’t discount the great run that Riddle had as a tag team competitor in WWE during the first quarter of 2020 as the NXT Tag Team Champion, a title he only lost because Thatcher walked out on him. His “How much fish could Bobby Fish fry if Bobby Fish could fry fish?” chant when The BroserWeights were feuding with The Undisputed Era was truly hilarious and struck a chord with the WWE Universe as well.
2. Drew McIntyre – 30 wins
Drew McIntyre is the only Superstar who made his mark in 2020. He returned to WWE Main Roster with the dominant manner alongside Dolph Ziggler and shows the WWE universe how toughest opponent he is.
The Scottish Psychopath got the spot light at Royal rumble by eliminating the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar with the thunderous Claymore and he also won the Royal rumble match.
Since then, McIntyre has show his strength in WWE by beating the several competitors in The OC, MVP, and Mojo Rawley before dethroning The Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania 36 to become the WWE Champion.
From then Drew McIntyre had the incredible run in WWE and dominated every WWE Superstar who is on his way likes Andrade, King Corbin and Seth Rollins. He’s managed to remain unbeaten this year with the only match where he failed to win being a no-contest against Randy Orton on RAW back in January.
1. Aleister Black – 32 wins
Aleister Black, from ever since he moved from NXT last year he had the dream run in WWE. He lost only one singles competition aganist AJ Styles on Raw after he was beating the
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in the same night.
The Dutch Destroyer has managed to impress Paul Heyman who seems to be high on him and many members of the WWE Universe see him as the possible face of the company in the future. Black landed a huge victory against Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 36 and it’s only a matter of time before we see him in the World title scene.
The Dutch Destroyer currently has his hands full dealing with the Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins and his disciples Murphy and Austin Theory. If you can recall, Murphy consistently losing to Black was what forced him into joining hands with Rollins in the first place. In any case, you can expect Aleister Black to be involved in some form or the other during WWE Backlash.
