Tonight NXT live from NXT arena on the campus of Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Vic Joseph welcomes and Wade Barrett joined him for commentary. Beth Phoenix also joins them from the home.
Here the Full Matches and Results With Short Review:
Io Shirai vs. Shotzi Blackheart
It’s a non title match, Shotzi Blackheart came out to the ring first riding her mini tank. Next NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai came out.
It was a good match. Shotzi took Io Shirai to her limits. At the end hits the Over the Moonsault for the pin and got the victory over Shotzi Blackheart.
Winner: Io Shirai
After the match Shirai takes title from the referee and celebrates in the ring. Shotzi Blackheart and Io Shirai shaked their hands eachother in the middle of the ring.
Desmond Troy is already in the ring. Tommaso Ciampa make his way to the ring.
Ciampa gained control from the start of the match and at the end he hits the Bell draping DDT from the second rope to Desmond Troy and cover him for the pin.
After the match Ciampa celebrates in the ring but Jake Atlas interrupts and Ciampa sat on the chair in the middle of the ring. Atlas addresses Ciampa’s attack on last week and said that he going to show how dangerous he is. Ciampa smiles and Jake walks off.
– Video Package of Drake Maverick entering into the arena shown and they asked him about teaming up with Killian Dain. He looks bit nervous but said that everything will be fine tonight and no matter what happened last week.
– NXT aired the Video Package of NXT Champion Finn Balor. Balor addressed the NXT top Superstars and how he won the vacant title last week by defeating Adam Cole. He has been fighting for 20 years to be a Champion and now people have to fight him to become champion. He tells everyone to form a line and warns them to think what you are wishing for.
“I don’t need the brand; I made the brand, and now the brand needs me.”
Austin Theory came out first and said that he was the future first-ballot WWE Hall of Famer and hates to bring Bronson Reed up. Last week Reed’s victory was fluke and he is ready to prove Tonight. He talks more trash about Reed and takes his shirt off for challenge. The Kushida came out and answered his challenge.
As the bell rang Kushida takes control and took out Austin Theory. But Theory quickly recovered and unloaded on Kushida. Kushida misses Moonsault and Theory Hits the big kick.
At the end Kushida brings applies the Hoverboard Lock now and Theory quickly taps out and Kushida got the victory.
After the match Kushida still holds the lock and referee pulls him out. We have seen the aggressive side of Kushida and Theory is struggles to recover in the ring.
– Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano at their home. LeRae addresses Tegan Nox and said no matter what she’s is telling people but LeRae had changed in good way. Gargano complaints about their TV destroyed last week and said that he plans to send the bill to Tegan Nox and The new TV will arrive next week. Candice brings up the #1 Contender Battle Royal and Johnny says they finally celebrates with new gold and TV at their home.
NXT Tag Team Champions Breezango – Tyler Breeze and Fandango came out. Then Imperium music but Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner attacked Breezango from nowhere and brawl continued in the ring. Referee tries to seperates them.
As the bell rang Barthel starts with cheap shot and Aichner unloads on Fandango. Imperium gains total control of match at the start.
At the end Breezango escapes the European Bomb and Tyler Breeze hits the Hurricanrana to Aichner and pins him for victory.
Xia Li and Jessi Kamea vs. Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro
Jessi Kamea came out first then followed by his partner Xia Li. Then Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro came out.
At the end Carter and Li tags in same time. Carter his the dropkick on Li. Kamea runs in and Carter took out her with superkick. Then Catanzaro tags in and they together hits the unique double team combyin Li and cover for pin.
Winners: Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro
– Drake Maverick at Backstage finds Killian Dain and remembered that they had tag team match tonight. Dain said that we are not friends or partners and tells him to handle it himself. Drake says that’s great and will see him out there.
– NXT aired the recorded video of Tegan Nox. She addresses the Candice LeRae and said that she wouldn’t care about their TV bill. She said that she wants her friend back but that isn’t happening and LeRae next week’s Battle Royal win also won’t happen. Nox says that she is going to win the Battle Royal in front of Candice LeRae and sends a message to NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.
The Undisputed Era vs. Killian Dain and Drake Maverick
The Undisputed Era – Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong came out. Then Drake Maverick came out and points towards Killian Dain but he didn’t came out and he looks worried and walks towards ring.
As the bell rings both Fish and Strong take on Drake but tries to escape from them. But they took out Drake and gave enough beating. Dain and some others watching the match at Backstage.
NXT General Manager came near Killian Dain and asked him if he really going to let this happen. Dain asks if Regal wants him to go out there. And Dains walks off. Dain took out everyone and Bobby Fish attacked Dain with Steel chair and referee calls for disqualification.
Winners by DQ: Killian Dain and Drake Maverick
After the match Dain sends Fish to the floor and then throws Strong on Fish. Drake came in to help Dain but Dain took out him with big punch on face.
– Jake Atlas was at parking lot and asked about match with Tommaso Ciampa next week. Jake said that Ciampa was light fire under him but Ciampa attacked him from behind. Kyle O’Reilly and some officials came out and yells at Ciampa. And told him to save it for next week as this was parking lot. Ciampa talk trash with Atlas and referee checks on him.
– We got the video package of NXT General Manager Willing Regal announcing the new first ever type of match – Gauntlet Eliminator next week. This match will feature top 5 NXT Superstars. Two Superstars will start the matche and for every 4 minutes another Superstar enter the match. The only way to eliminate the Superstar is via Pinfall or Submission. Tha last man standing will be crowned as #1 Contender for Finn Balor’s NXT Title at Takeover on Sunday, October 4th.
NXT North American Title Math: Timothy Thatcher vs. Damian Priest (c)
The NXT North American Champion Damian Priest came out first and Challenger Timothy Thatcher came out next. Formal announcement for the match is completed.
Damian Priest gains control from the start of the match. But the middle of match Timothy Thatcher goes for some near falls and at the end Damian Priest hits the spinning heel kick and cover for three count and successfully retained NXT North American Championship.
