Bayley Says It Was Her Own Decision To Turn As Heel
WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley had great run as a heel. No one expected that it going to be a massive success but had been very impressive. She was a biggest babyface during her run in NXT, with that fame she moved to Main Roster hope to achieve the same success.
Expect Royal Rumble match, The Role Model Bayley had won all the titles in WWE and Money in the Bank Contract too. She is the longest reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion and first Women to held the title for full calendar year.
Bayley recently ranked #1 in PWI Women’s 100 list. She recently appeared as special guest on PWI Podcast, where she discussed about her heel turn in WWE. She revealed that it was her idea to turn heel.
Bayley said that she was doing Bayley character for 7 years and it brought much success to her. But she wants to experience all sort of things and took this decision with Vince McMahon blessings.
“Yes, for sure. Everyone second-guessed things, especially for me because I was doing that Bayley character for 7 years and it brought me so much success. It brought me championships and brought me to the WWE, but it was not something I wanted to do forever. I want to experience everything in my career. I want to ride the wave and do all sorts of things. I knew I couldn’t do it being that one character. Honestly, once I had the company’s blessing and Vince’s blessing, I knew I had to make it work. I had to make it work because it was my decision. If I failed then I failed myself and I failed the company. I definitely think people not believing in me helps because you love to prove people wrong. It helps on screen as well because then I’m not doing it for them, I’m doing it for me.” (H/T: Wrestlingnews.co)
Currently, Bayley going to defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against The Boss Sasha Banks inside Hell In A Cell structure for upcoming PPV.
