The New Day is the one of the biggest and entertaining tag tean in WWE. They formed their faction in 2014 and this was the first time they were split up, as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods moved to Raw and Big E stayed on Smackdown during the WWE draft 2020.
On his latest appearance on the After The Bell Podcast with Corey Graves, Big E discussed about various topics. He also revealed whom he wants to face on SmackDown and also revealed tha plans of added more WWE Superstars in New Day stable.
During the podcast, he said that their goal always want to be a faction, whether they get singles or Tag Team wrestling to win the titles. But only Kofi got the world title run, we loved to have more singles run, he said.
He also revealed that they had thought of adding more members to their team. They were intrested to add Alicia Fox and Damian Sandow in their faction, Big E said.
“Thinking back to 2014, we always thought we would be a group that would add more members. I remember thinking Alicia Fox being someone we wanted to add because at the time she was doing stuff with the tantrums.
“Her and [Damian] Sandow we thought would be a great addition. That was the idea; a group that would recruit. It would have been a lot of fun and I wish we got that incarnation of New Day. As grateful as I am that it went the way it did, I’m also kind of intrigued to see what it would have been like for us to have gone that militant route to see what we could have done.” (H/T: WrestleZone)
