WWE NXT Champion had a brutal title match at NXT Takeover 31 against Kyle O’Reilly at Capitol Wrestling Center. Finn Balor successfully retained title by defeating Kyle O’Reilly but both superstars sustained injuries during the hard hitting match.

Kyle O’Reilly had few fractured teeth and injured himself after a hard liver shot from NXT Champion Finn Balor. Finn Balor had some serious injures, as he had broken his jaw in two places. And doctors revealed that he need some time off to recover.

Finn Balor recently took the Twitter to provide update on his injury. He said that surgery was successful and he is recovering from it. He also posted a photo of him lying on the hospital bed, along with Doctors Patel and Edgarsosa and his wife Veronica Rodriguez.

Finn Balor won the vacant NXT Title by defeating Adam Cole. Later NXT announced first ever Gauntlet Eliminator Match to determine the next challenger for NXT Champion Finn Balor, in which Kyle O’Reilly became victorious and challenged Finn Balor for NXT at NXT Takeover 31.
