Kurt Angle Revealed The Reason For Rejecting The Role Of Matt Riddle’s Manager
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle returned to WWE after WrestleMania 35 in 2019. He was officially done with in-ring career and working in WWE at backstage as a producer.
Unfortunately, he was one of the name who released by WWE during the pandemic. Later he was returned to NXT as a guest referee for first ever Fight Pit match between the Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher.
It was the last match of Matt Riddle in NXT and couple of days later, Kurt Angle announced that Matt Riddle going to join the Friday Night Smackdown officially.
Recently speaking with PWInsider, Kurt Angle revealed the real reason for turning down the role of managing Matt Riddle. He mentioned two reasons for rejecting that offer.
One was reason was, he wants to take care of his company which was stated earlier by him and other was amount they offered was not enough for him.
Two reasons – one was my company I started needed my attention 100%, especially with the virus thing and I had to just be there for the company and the other thing was the money, it just…it wasn’t enough. I wasn’t going to manage somebody for the amount of money they wanted to give me.
Matt Riddle currently doing well in the SmackDown without manager. Maybe adding Kurt Angle would boost his career but we don’t know how it would work.
