Real Reason Why WWE NXT Moved To Capitol Wrestling Center
WWE had forced to make many changes to their shows due to Covid-19 pandemic and one of them is changing their venue. WWE had moved both Raw and Smackdown to Performance Center, before moving to WWE ThunderDome at Amway center.
WWE also used Performance Center and Full Sail University for it’s Black and Gold brand NXT. Now, WWE is set return to rebuilt Performance Center, now called as Capitol Wrestling Center, from this week’s NXT Takeover 31.
According to the Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is moving back to Performance Center because of students returning to Full Sail University and WWE doesn’t want to take any risk for their Superstars and staff members to get infected with the return of students.
WrestlingINC’s Raj Giri also reported that main reason for NXT moving from Full Sail University because they don’t want to use students in University and wanted to run the NXT in “closed set” with WWE personnel only.
“The main reason is that NXT is no longer using Full Sail students at their tapings. In the past, they have used students in various capacities from camera personnel and production assistants that were taking creative classes that were given the opportunity to shadow those in NXT to learn various aspects of the wrestling business. With NXT being a closed set with WWE personnel only, there are no plans to use Full Sails students as this time.”
