WWE is officially shortened Matt Riddle name and now he will be called as “Riddle” in WWE.
Matt Riddle joined WWE in 2018 and he was used his real name for his character in teh company. Now, WWE removed his first name from his profile page on WWE.com
According to the report of Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the decision of shortening the Matt Riddle’s name was finalized on Thursday.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that it was Vince McMahon personally decided to remove the first name of the King of Bros.
Sean Ross Sapp said that this week on Raw, Matt Riddle’s match against Sheamus caught Vince McMahon eyes and he was impressed by Riddle. Both the Superstars also got huge praise after the match at Backstage from WWE producers.

After the match, Vince made a call to change his name to “Riddle” and pitched more serious character presentation. And Riddle also supportive to that idea.
“It seems as if the match particularly had a big impression on McMahon, as he made the call to change Matt Riddle’s in-ring name to “Riddle,” and pitched a more serious character presentation. We’re told Riddle was supportive of the idea.”
Not only Riddle, WWE also changed few superstars name before that includes Big E Langston to Big E, Antonio Cesaro to Cesaro and Buddy Murphy to Murphy.
