Triple H Revealed The Reason Why They Named Capitol Wrestling Center For Performance Center
From this week, NXT will run the show from Capitol Wrestling Center, formerly known as Performance Center. They made debut tonight at the venue for NXT Takeover 31.
Triple H revealed that there will be virtual fans like WWE ThunderDome and also some live fans at the venue. He said that there will be 100 around fans which consists of family and friends of Superstars. And utmost care was taken by the company to prevent the spread of virus at the venue.
Triple H recently had an interview with Sports Illustrated and revealed the reason why they named Capitol Wrestling Center for the Performance Center.
He said that it’s a historic callback where it all began and feels like we’re going back to 1953, when Vince McMahon grandfather Jess McMahon runs the Capitol Wrestling Corporation. He said that it feels like going back to beginning and just like then, we are taking the business to new level.
“It’s a historic callback to where this all began. We gutted the Performance Center and it’s now rebuilt, so it feels like we’re going back to the beginning. To me, it feels like we’re going back to 1953. Just like then, we’re doing something different and new, taking the business to a whole new level. The Capitol Wrestling Center captures the feel and the vibe of NXT. We will have all the bells and whistles of the ThunderDome, but we’ll keep that NXT feel. It’s edgier, darker and raw—you’re walking into the ultimate heavy metal soundstage.”
WWE hosted NXT from Full Sail University and now decided to return to the Performance Center, which now called as Capitol Wrestling Center.
