Wade Barrett Says He Would Make His In-Ring To Face Drew McIntyre For WWE Title

Wade Barrett recently returned to WWE on a full time basis to be the part of NXT commentary team. He recently revealed that he would return to ring to chase WWE Championship.
Wade Barrett recently had an interview with Digital Spy and talked about his in ring return. He said that if he would to come back as full time in-ring competitor, it would only to become WWE Champion, which was held by his old friend Drew McIntyre.
“In truth if I was to come back as a full-time in-ring guy, I really would be chasing the sunset of my career. I don’t think there’s that many more years left in me. So the question is, what would I want to achieve? The only thing I didn’t achieve in WWE that I always wanted to achieve was to become the WWE Champion, and that title is now held by an old friend of mine, Drew McIntyre. So taking him on for that title is something that certainly might tempt me back for a match or two.”
Currently, Drew McIntyre had a strong run as WWE Champion. After winning WWE Title at WrestleMania 36 by defeating Brock Lesnar, he had became the dominant champion by defeating Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins and now Randy Orton.
Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre also had a long history, they had been the Tag Team Champions in FCW over a decade ago. They also faced each other in singles match in WWE in the past.
