After Winning the Universal Title by defeating The Fiend Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman at WWE Payback, he got his cousin Jey Uso as his first Challenger. They both brought the family storyline band it got huge success and elevated Roman Reigns heel Persona.

At WWE Clash of Champions PPV, Roman Reigns brutalized Jey Uso and Jimmy came out and threw the towel to stop the match. Following on Smackdown episode, Jey Uso once again challenged Roman Reigns for Universal Title but Reigns said that their will be consequences.

Later Roman Reigns revealed that it going to be the first ever Hell In A Cell “I Quit” Match. This week on Smackdown the Tribal Cheif revealed the consequences that if Jey Uso lost the match then he will be out of Anoa’i family.

Both the Superstars started the match slowly and Reigns was in full control. Roman hits two big spears to Jey but he recovers and replied with two splashes. Then Jey took the leather strap and hit the Roman Reigns with it.

Then Roman hit the third spear that made strap to fall out from tha hands of Jey Uso and Reigns used it on Jey. Both the man almost unconscious but neither of them said I Quit words to stop the match. 

Jey Uso still refusing to Quit the match, the frustrated Reigns threw him to ringpost and drive him to steel steps. The referee tries to stop the match but then Roman throws referee out of the ring. 

Roman still brutalizing Jey, another referee and officials came to stop him, but they couldn’t. Then Jimmy Uso once again came to stop the match and pleaded Reigns but Reigns out him with Guillotine lock. Then Jey finally said “I Quit” to stop the match. 

After the match, Roman Reigns met WWE Hall of Famers, Afa and Sika, Roman’s uncle and father. They put ceremonial beads over Roman’s neck and made him as leader of the dynasty.
