WWE NXT Results, Winners And Highlights (September 30th, 2020)

Tonight NXT is the go-home edition of teh NXT Takeover: 31 on Sunday, October 4th. Tom Philips welcomes us to the show and Beth Phoenix joins him from the home. Tom announced that Wade Barrett and Vic Joseph are off for tonight’s NXT.
Here The Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– Shotzi Blackheart defeated Dakota Kai via Pinfall. After the match Shotzi music hits and Shotzi taunts Kai from the stage as she looks on from the ring.
– Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar joins the Tom for interview in big screen from different areas of backstage. Swerve says he is only man to pin Escobar and takes the title from him at NXT Takeover 31 on Sunday. Escobar laughs and calls Swerve as parasite, Escobar promises that their match will be fair and he will have always excuses but the matter is he can’t deliver. Swerve says this sunday he will win and prove that Escobar is fraud. Escobar says Swerve showcasing isn’t enough at Takeover and says he will bury Swerve at Takeover.
– We got the new video game promo of Returning former NXT Champion at NXT Takeover 31.
– Tom Philips confirms that Tegan Nox is out of action with torn ACL. Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano at Backstage with Sarah Schreiber, Sarah asks about Tegan Nox injury then Johnny says that Nox broke their TV and Candice broke her. Sarah asks about their match tonight, Gargano says destiny will be here on Sunday and LeRae says it starts tonight and will finish it at Takeover on Sunday.
– Cameron Grimes in the ring and says he wasn’t in best mood, he says he had every chance in the world last week but it was taken away by the Gauntlet Match. He announced Cameron Grimes Invitational Stepping Stone To The Moon Challenge, and introduced his first opponent, Joey Pistachio.
– Cameron Grimes defeated Joey Pistachio via Pinfall. After the match he called the next opponent, Joey Strong. But Ridge Holland attacks Joey Strong from behind and take him out. Grimes says Ridge is good but he isn’t the part of invitation. Grimes says he will shake Holland hands, but he isn’t part of contest. Ridge shakes the hand and hits a headbutt to Grimes.
– Ridge Holland defeated Cameron Grimes. After the match Ridge Holland stands tall in the ring and loos at Grimes.
– Sarah Schreiber at backstage with Austin Theory. He says last week’s loss against Damian Priest never have happened and talks about Kyle O’Reilly. Theory says he was just 22 years old and competed at WrestleMania 36 but why people calling Kyle as future. Theory says O’Reilly should try catching upto him.
– We get a video package of Kushida cutting a promo about his match with Velveteen Dream at NXT Takeover in Japanese.
– Kushida defeated Tiny Nese via Submission. After the match Kushida celebrates in the ring but Velveteen Dream appeared on big screen. Dream says he doesn’t care which Kushida steps up in the ring on Sunday but all the spotlight will bright on him. He continued he always puts best performances under the brightest spotlights and will see Kushida on Sunday.
– Cameron Grimes at Backstage holding his eye. He says he wants to talk to NXT General Manager William Regal but Dexter Lumis suddenly appears. Grimes says him a freak and get him out of his way. Grimes keeps walking and Dexter staring at Grimes.
– Adam Cole in the ring and talks about how dominant Undisputed Era in the ring for three years and nobody can stop them. Cole is here to say nothing has changed and calls out Austin Theory to come out and say what he said earlier, but to Cole’s face. Theory came out and Cole’s gives him to options, get in the ring and face him like a man or else rest of the Undisputed Era will beat him where he stands. Then Theory heads to the ring for match against Cole.
– Adam Cole defeated Austin Theory via Pinfall. After the match Cole stands tall in the ring and says Kyle O’Reilly was born ready and will shock everyone at NXT Takeover by defeating Finn Balor.
– Sarah Schreiber at backstage with Io Shirai and Damian Priest. Sarah asks about how confident about their match tonight against power couple. Priest laughs at name and says they can keep the “power couple” title as they have both the titles. Io Shirai cuts a promo in the Japanese and says Priest is a Rock Star. Priest walks off and Shirai says he’s not bad.
– Kayden Carter defeated Xia Li via Pinfall. After the match Kayden Carter offers hand to Xia Li but she pushed her to mat. Kacy asks her what’s her problem but she lefts off.
– We get the pre-recorded segment with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels sitting on the table with NXT Title and joined by Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly. Balor congratulated Kyle for winning the Gauntlet Eliminator Match and said he have respect for him. O’Reilly agrees and thanks Balor. Shawn talks about the match and asks how Balor is prepares for O’Reilly. Balor says O’Reilly isn’t secret at all and he proved himself. O’Reilly says je like Balor and says Balor is best at stroking at his own ego. Balor interrupts and threatens to slap his face. Balor says there is no excuses on Sunday and he has been proving himself from 20 years. Kyle says Balor has never been in the ring with a person like him. Balor says O’Reilly is really good but he can’t be a Champion until this title is around his waist. Shawn thanks them and ends the segment.
– Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae defeated Damian Priest & Io Shirai via Pinfall. After the match Io Shirai confronts Gargano but LeRae drops her with backstabber. Johnny took the both NXT North American title and NXT Women’s Title from the Ringside and gave NXT Title to Candice. Both posed with the titles and NXT goes of air.
