WWE Raw Underground Reportedly Cancelled By WWE
WWE Raw Underground was introduced by Shane McMahon on August 3rd, 2020. It got much attention for it’s shoot style Wrestling. But from past few weeks WWE didn’t aired the Raw Underground due to Covid-19 out break.
Now, it seems that WWE is planning to scrape the Raw Underground segment. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Raw Underground is “considered done” for right now for few reasons.
WWE didn’t filmed any Raw Underground segments in recent weeks because they are worried about risk of spreading virus by extras on the segment. But now all the talent involved in Raw Underground returned to work but WWE no longer wants to produce the segment.
Meltzer have reported that WWE wants to seperate the NXT Superstars, who where part of Raw Underground from Raw and Smackdown roster due to fear of Covid-19 outbreak. He also stated that with the recent drafts, Raw Underground won’t fit easily in the show.
WWE have aired Raw Underground for eight straight weeks and from past two ethey didn’t aired any Raw Underground segment. The last match featured in Raw Underground is Braun Strowman against Dabba Kato, in which Braun Strowman became victorious.
