WWE Reportedly Had Multiple Plans For Otis To Lose MITB Briefcase
WWE Superstar Otis win the Money in the Bank briefcase after defeating AJ Styles, Aleister Black, Daniel Bryan, King Corbin and Rey Mysterio in May. But Otis wasn’t the favourite WWE superstar to win the MITB Contract at PPV.
After winning the title, he tried to cash-in the in Smackdown on Braun Strowman, who was Universal Champion at that time, but it didn’t happen. After that Otis didn’t involved in any cash-ins or segments.
From past few weeks, WWE is teasing to take back the MITB briefcase from the Otis. Otis involved in the feud with The Miz and John Morrison, who are trying to steal the Otis MITB briefcase. They also filed a lawsuit against Otis to gave back his MITB briefcase.
Now, WrestleVotes reported that WWE officials had pitched multiple idea to take off MITB briefcase from Otis and make the storyline main focus. But Vince McMahon is still wants it to keep on WWE SmackDown Superstar Otis, as Vince is the biggest fan to Otis.
There have been multiple pitched ideas to remove the MITB briefcase from Otis & make the storyline a main focus again, some of which are really decent ideas I’ve been told. However, and this is a big however, Otis’ biggest fan is Vince. So right now, no go.

Otis hasn’t involved in Universal Title picture since winning the MITB Contract. Now Roman Reigns is the Universal Champion and WWE had plans to have lengthy reign for Roman as a Universal Champion. So, it doesn’t seems to WWE wants him to cash-in the briefcase.
