WWE Applied Trademarks For Several WCW Events

WWE recently applied for several trademarks for WCW terms on the same week after they cancelled trademark on “Cody Rhodes” name, according to the reports of WrestlingNews. So, now Cody can allowed to use his full name in AEW.
Previously, Cody applied trademarks for several WCW themes to use in AEW in last year. This report suggest that there was a talk that WWE permitted Cody to get the rights of Rhodes name because in exchange, they would get trademark rights of different WCW terms that Cody has been attempting to get.
On November 3rd, 2020, WWE flied trademarks for numerous WCW terms that list include Bash AT The Beach, SuperBrawl, BattleBowl, Bunkhouse, Stampede, The Match Beyond and Slamboree.
