WWE Reportedly Revealed The Reason For Zelina Vega’s Release

WWE shockingly released Zelina Vega on Friday before Smackdown goes on air on FOX. And speculation is that she was released for standing against third party ban. Now, WWE had revealed the reason for her release.
Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated stated that Zelina Vega was released for breaching WWE Contract. WWE informed him that she was breached her contract in October by opening OnlyFans account. The former WWE Superstar charged $30 for a month for photo and video content.
He also told that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon saw it as breach of contract and released her from WWE on Friday. It seems that WWE is very strict on this policy and superstar going to face serious consequences about for who standing against it.
A group of wrestlers in WWE including AJ Styles and Xavier Woods reached Vince McMahon in October to lift the ban on Twitch but Vince still stood on his decision and continued the ban.
After release of Zelina Vega, SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Foundation of Television and Radio Artists) involved in discussion of unionization in Pro Wrestling.
President Gabrielle Carteris issued a statement regarding this situation to Spectrum Sports 360’s Jon Alba.
“Wrestling is as much about media as it is sports and we are going to directly engage with members of this profession to help find ways for them to protect themselves. As more people reinvest in unions and as more working people are harassed by employers who don’t want to protect them, SAG-AFTRA is committed to doing what we can to help professional wrestlers secure the protections they deserve.”
