Welcome to Sports Arenaa WWE News!!!!!!!!!!
The Undertaker’s final farewell took place at Survivor Series 2020 and he is now officially retired from the ring. The Undertaker’s Streak will be one the iconic angles in Pro Wrestling history and that came to an end at WrestleMania 30. But the fans were unhappy about the WWE’s decision to end the streak.
But WWE had different plans about the Legendary Streak. In the first place, WWE didn’t plan to end the Streak and wants the Undertaker to unbeaten at WrestleMania.
Dave Meltzer on his latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter discussed about the Undertaker’s final farewell segment and also revealed the details of Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak.
Meltzer noted that Undertaker’s Streak was not planned from the start, where he began with the win over Jimmy Snuka at WrestleMania VII in 1991. They noticed the Streak when WWE planned to give Randy Orton a win over Undertaker in 2005 at WrestleMania 21.
Then they began to push the streak at every WrestleMania and WWE had plan to never end the streak. They wants The Undertaker to remain unbeaten at WrestleMania but the plan has changed over the years.
Undertaker’s Streak, which started with a quick win over a long-past-his-prime Jimmy Snuka in a prelim match at the 1991 WrestleMania, was not planned from the start. It really wasn’t a thing until 2005, when there was talk of Randy Orton beating him, and that was the first year they really pushed hard the Streak, then 12-0. After that, the mentality to most in the company was that he never should lose, and retire unbeaten at WrestleMania whenever that time would come.
Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak came to an end at WrestleMania 30, where Brock Lesnar defeated Undertaker and shocked everyone. But the fans didn’t happy with that and debated that WWE could have come with an better candidate to end the streak.
In an interview, The Deadman Undertaker himself also revealed that he always wanted to end the Streak with the young and upcoming talent like Roman Reigns but he had to go with the WWE Chairman Vince McMahon decision.
