Tribal Cheif Roman Reigns is the top heel in the company right now. He returned to WWE at Summer Slam 2020 and shocked everyone by joining with Paul Heyman. Roman Reigns turned heel for the first time in the company and won the Universal Title in short time and expected to hold title till next year’s WrestleMania 37.
According to the WrestleTalk, WWE had plans of Roman Reigns to face his cousin The Rock at WrestleMania 37. But due to uncertainty of his availability for WrestleMania 37, WWE looking for back up plans for him.
WrestleTalk reported that WWE also looking for other opponents to Roman Reigns if The Rock is not available. WWE considering the Big E and Daniel Bryan as potential challengers for Universal Champion Roman Reigns for next year’s WrestleMania.
WWE also considering Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre as one of the opponent after their impressive match between him and Roman Reigns at Survivor Series 2020.
And lastly, the most anticipated match that Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg, which was supposed to happen this year also considered as back up for WrestleMania next year. But fans hoping for The Rock’s return to WWE to facing Head of the Table Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37.
Currently, Roman Reigns is set to defend his Universal Title against Kevin Owens in Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at upcoming TLC pay-per-view.
