Ahead of NXT Takeover: WarGames 2020, Triple H had an interview with Ryan Satin of FOX Sports and provided an update about Karrion Kross return. Triple H said that Kross will be return to action anytime soon.
“Yeah. To quote him, ‘Tick tock, any second.’ Yeah, he’s there. He had one of those tricky injuries where you don’t know, and that was the difficult process for us.”
The Game Triple H further said that the former NXT Champion Karrion Kross had done everything to heal with full health.
“He’s one of those guys that, again, you want to run through a brick wall for. But, he’ll run through the brick wall for himself. That’s the other thing. He’s not here to sit back and go, ‘Man, I hope this heals well.’ He’s going to. If it doesn’t heal well, it’s not on him. It’s not on lack of effort.”

WWE NXT Superstar Karrion Kross won the NXT Title by defeating Keith Lee at NXT Takeover: XXX but he relinquished his in following episode of NXT due to shoulder injury.
After that, Finn Balor won the vacant NXT Championship by defeating Adam Cole at NXT Super Tuesday. Finn defended his title aganist Kyle O’Reilly and Finn was injured during the match. Finn returned to NXT few weeks back. We may expect that Karrion Kross would be returned at WarGames this Sunday.
