Tonight’s Wednesday Night NXT is live from Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando Florida. Vic Joseph welcomes us and joined by Wade Barrett at ringside, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix also joined them remotely.
Here The Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– The Way (Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory) defeated Leon Ruff and Kushida via Pinfall.
– Dexter Lumis sat under a spotlight with drawing setup and just stares straight ahead.
– Toni Strom at backstage cuts promo about her feud with Rhea Ripley and match against her tonight. Toni says she cares about only Toni Time and will end this feud on her terms.
– Kyle O’Reilly warming up at Backstage with Adam Cole and Roderick Strong. We also see Pete Dunne Backstage getting ready for the match with NXT Tag Team Champions Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan.
– Mitchell McKenzie at backstage with Shotzi Blackheart. Shotzi says she is proud of her team at WarGames and they gave enough beating to Team Candice. Now, Candice wants to walk with her little trophy, WarGames may over but her war with Candice still far from over. Tonight she is going to break Candice best friend as Shotzi did to Candice arm and walks off with howling.
– Tommaso Ciampa defeated Tyler Rust via Pinfall. After the match, Ciampa picks up Timothy Thatcher t-shirt ans walks to the stage. Thatcher came out but referees stop him and Ciampa taunts him before heading to back.
– The Grizzled Young Veterans cuts a promo saying that they have more momentum than any other tag team heading into 2021. They talk about how they did before their hiatus and how NXT has changed since then but they’re still best tag team in black and gold brand.
– Kyle O’Reilly defeated Pete Dunne via Pinfall and became the #1 Contender for Finn Balor’s NXT Title at NXT New Year’s Evil.
– Rhea Ripley at backstage with Mitchell McKenzie and talks about Raquel Gonzalez. McKenzie asks Ripley about Toni Strom, Ripley says they had lot history together and says Toni may be right that she isn’t same Ripley at NXT UK but she is she is the same piece of trash back then. Rhea says she’s going to finish this once and for all.
– NXT aired the vignette of Xia Li and Boa intense training with ShiFu master.
– Shotzi Blackheart defeated Indi Hartwell via disqualification. In the closing moments of match, Austin Theory handed Candice trophy to Indi Hartwell and distracted refree. Hartwell hits Blackheart with trophy but referee see it and calls for bell. After the match, Candice and Indi double teamed on Shotzi to put her down.
– Karrion Kross defeated Desmond Troy via Submission. After the match, Karrion Kross sends a warning to Damian Priest and says at NXT News Year’s Evil he going to break him.
– McKenzie at backstage with Isaiah Swerve Scott and asks about his post match disrespect to Jake Atlas. Scoot says why everyone bother about that, he always frustrated after the loss especially with a loss against Scott. He says he just came out of NXT General Manager William Regal office and got rematch aganist Atlas and this time results will be different.
Ever-Rise came near McKenzie after Scott leaves. They says last week’s match was a fluke and it was handicapped match. McKenzie asks if they want any rematch aganist The Grizzled Young Veterans, then Ever-Rise says they are still undefeated and jokes that they’re coming for GoldBerg. They talks some trash and syas they’re here to complain about matches but tells everyone Ever-Rise rules.
– Dexter Lumis drawing the logo for New Year’s Evil and it’s revealed that he is going to host that show on January 6th.
– NXT aired the pre-recorded video of NXT Champion Finn Balor. Finn Balor cuts a promo about his New Year’s Evil opponent Kyle O’Reilly and says it’s not going to be Balor vs. O’Reilly 2 but it’s Balor vs. O’Reilly The End.
– Toni Strom defeated Rhea Ripley via Pinfall with the help of Raquel Gonzalez. After the match, Rhea Ripley and Raquel Gonzalez stares eachother and NXT goes off air.
