Drew McIntyre Shared His Thoughts On WrestleMania 36 Took Place In Empty Arena
Drew McIntyre had a spectacular last year, he won the Royal Rumble Match and faced Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 for WWE Title. But due to pandemic, the show was took place at WWE Performance Center in empty arena. Drew McIntyre defeated the Brock Lesnar at the Showcase of Immortals and became the WWE Champion.
During an interview on The Arash Markazi Show, The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre shared his thoughts on competing at WrestleMania 36 with no audience. He said that when he found the news he was little disappointed but later changed his mind.
“Yeah, I mean, I spoke about it a few times, and when I found out the news we weren’t gonna have fans there, I was a bit angry, a bit disappointed, and then inevitably when I was paying attention to the news and I saw how much COVID was affecting the world…I felt guilty for even feeling that way,” said McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre won his first WWE Title at WrestleMania 36 in empty arena and had his WrestleMania moment. McIntyre thanked fans for their support for tuning into WWE in difficult times.
“We brought the world WrestleMania, I had my moment, I beat Brock Lesnar in five minutes, I finally won the WWE Championship. I was able to kind of have my little WrestleMania moment where we reached down to the camera and thanked everybody. That was like my moment right there, where I got to say thank you to everyone for tuning into WWE, choosing us during the difficult times, for choosing Drew McIntyre,” said McIntyre. Currently, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre set to defend his title against WWE Hall of Famer GoldBerg at Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view.
