“He Can Be Very Dangerous Weapon In AEW” – Eric Bischoff About The Sting
“The Icon” Sting made his AEW debut last year and also revealed that he signed multi-year contract with the promotion. Eric Bischoff, who worked as WCW executive during the Monday Night Wars, feels that The Sting would be a dangerous weapon in AEW in good way.
On his latest edition of 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff shared his honest thoughts on The Sting signing with AEW promotion. Bischoff said that he saw Sting (real name Steve Borden) AEW appearances and he looks more physically and mentally ready to go and he could be ‘dangerous weapon’ in AEW.
The former WWE Executive also felt that AEW could give him great way to end his career, how he and his fans wants to see.
“A motivated Steve Borden can be a very dangerous weapon in an AEW arsenal as a character, in a good way. I’ve watched Steve’s appearances and he looks physically and more than that emotionally and mentally ready to me. There’s a level of energy I can sense when I see Sting now in AEW, you just know he’s bursting at the seams. He’s ready to go, that’s when he can become dangerous. Physically? Steve knows his body really well, he also understands the limitations he has and to work around those limitations. If [Sting] is ready to get in the ring and have a match, he’ll find the right situation in AEW to end his career the way he wants to end his career. I could not be happier for him, and for the fans of Sting.” (H/T: WrestlingInc)
The Sting made his AEW debut on Winter is Coming edition in last December and saved Cody, Darby Allin, Dustin Rhodes and Arn Anderson from the beatdown of Team Taz. He also confronted Team Taz on several occasions and TNT Champion Darby Allin seems to be paired up with Sting.
This has to be confirmation @Sting and @DarbyAllin are working together right? #AEWDynamite pic.twitter.com/6LTuSy3fuz
