Vince McMahon Reportedly Rejected The Plans For Raw Superstar To Win Royal Rumble

WWE Royal Rumble 2021 is scheduled to take place on January 31st, 2021 in WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. As the event is approaching near, WWE is slowly revealing the participants of the tradition Royal Rumble Match.
With the more top talented and worthy superstars in the company, there is always a query that who will win the Royal Rumble match to earn the WWE Title opportunity at WrestleMania. There are many favorite contenders to win the men’s royal rumble match, SK Wrestling recently gave an backstage update about this situation.
According to the Sportskeeda Wrestling, sources close to that situation told them that WWE is strongly considering Keith Lee to win the 30-Men Royal Rumble match this year for his popularity among fans. But WWE Chairman Vince McMahon “threw a wrench” into that idea and reportedly rejected that plan.
It was also reported that Vince McMahon’s inputs on Lee are ‘shaded by underlings’ due to Vince’s age and his thoughts make sense. There is also the fear that giving big win to Limitless One would expose him as ‘not being ready for main roster’.
“WWE was strongly considering Keith Lee winning it (Royal Rumble) due to his popularity with WWE fans, but Vince McMahon threw the wrench into that idea. His input has been kind of shaded by underlings lately due to his age, but his thoughts on Lee make sense. Lee would be exposed as not being ready for the main roster, especially if he started early. Starting much later in the Rumble would confirm he wasn’t ready.”
It was also noted that Big E is the current big favorite to win the Royal Rumble because he had years of exposure in WWE and 2021 would be definitely his year. Vince McMahon also likes him and very positive on him.
“Another big favorite at the moment is Big E because he’s had years of exposure in WWE, and 2021 could be his year. Vince likes him.”
