Tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Michael Cole welcomes us and joined by Corey Graves at ringside. 

– Daniel Bryan opens the tonight’s show and talks about Royal Rumble Match. He says that he accomplished a lot in WWE but never won the WWE Royal Rumble Match. He says he don’t know how many WrestleMania moments he has left but he wants to accomplish one more moment by winning Royal Rumble Match and going to WrestleMania main event.

Daniel Bryan thanked Otis and Chad Gable for preparing him for Royal Rumble. Then, music hits and AJ Styles came out, he talks about possibility of him winning Royal Rumble Match. Bryan asks why AJ is here as it was Smackdown show, then, AJ says he was here for quarterly brand to brand invitational and cuts a promo about Daniel Bryan. Then, Bryan challenges Styles for a match and Styles accepts it. Then, Styles pushes Daniel down, then, Bryan tries to attack AJ but Omos steps in between them.

– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Bayley and she asks about last week’s Challenge against Bianca Belair. Bayley recalls how the segment was ended last week and tonight nobody is going to stop her.

– Bianca Belair defeated Bayley via Pinfall. After the match, Kayla interviews Belair on the ramp, Belair says it was her biggest win and the thing only will top her against Bayley by winning Royal Rumble Match.

– King Corbin defeated Dominik Mysterio via Pinfall. After the match, Corbin tries to attack Rey Mysterio but he counter attacks and lay him down.

– Big E at backstage asking Sonya Deville for his number at WWE Royal Rumble Match, then, The Miz and John Morrison interrupts and asks about Adam Pearce. Deville says Adam Pearce was off for want happened on last week and walks off. Then, Big E says Miz had no chance of winning Royal Rumble Match but John Morrison attacked Big E and brawl breaks out.

– WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks walking at backstage and Kalisto greets her and compliments her. Then, Carmella’s sommelier Reginald appears and offers a wine bottle. And sent a huge waring to Carmella and it’s official Sasha Banks vs. Carmella at Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

– Shinsuke Nakamura walking at Backstage and Sami Zyan calls him over. Sami talks about Cesaro doing on his own, Sami says he was once his liberator and it’s time for him to return the favor by helping him to win Intercontinental title back. Then, Nakamura yells at him and says goto hell.

– Kevin Owens and Universal Champion Roman Reigns joined in split screen for an interview with Micheal Cole. Kevin Owens talks about his match against Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble and how he wins the title and don’t care about Reigns and his family. Paul Heyman says after Royal Rumble Owens will not address the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns again. 

Then, Reigns and Owens takes a huge shot aganist eachother involving their families. Then, Owens ends with saying he will be coming out as Universal Champion from Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

– Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles via disqualification. During the match, Big E came out and attacked Sami Zyan who was at ringside, then, Bryan accidentally falls on Sami, then, Sami attacks Bryan and causes disqualification. Cesaro attacks Big E, then, Shinsuke Nakamura came out for save. Big E, Nakamura and Bryan clears the ring by tossing Cesaro, AJ Styles and Sami Zyan out of the ring.

– Big E, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro defeated AJ Styles, Sami Zyan and Shinsuke Nakamura via disqualification. During the match, Miz and John Morrison attacks Big E and causes disqualification. Then, Otis and Chad Gable came out for save.

– Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Otis, Shinsuke Nakamura and Big E defeated AJ Styles, Cesaro, Miz, John Morrison and Sami Zyan via Pinfall. After the match, Miz and John Morrison attacked Sheamus, then, Braun Strowman returns from his suspension and attacked everyone. He throws everyone out of the ring and stands tall and Smackdown goes off air.
