WWE NXT New Year’s Evil 2021 Results, Winners And Highlights

Tonight’s NXT New Year’s Evil is live from WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida and hosted by Dexter Lumis. The main event of the show is Finn Balor vs. Kyle O’Reilly with the NXT Title on line. Another big match is Raquel Gonzalez and Rhea Ripley will battle in Last Woman Standing Match.
Other matches includes Santos Escobar to defend his NXT Cruiserweight Title aganist Gran Metalik and Karrion Kross will face Damian Priest in singles competition.

Here The Full Matches And Results With Short Review:

– Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett Bordeaux) defeated Damian Priest via Pinfall. 
– NXT announced the more teams that will participate in the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – Ever-Rise, Breezango, Drake Maverick and Killian Dain, Curt Stallion and August Grey, Imperium. The first of the tournament begins next week and more teams will be revealed soon. 
The Undisputed Era’s Adam Cole and Roderick Strong, who were announced that they will participate in the tournament last week, at backstage with McKenzie Mitchell. She revealed that they will face Breezango next week in first round, then, Cole talked about fullfilling The Undisputed Era’s prophecy and also talked about Kyle O’Reilly’s NXT Title match tonight.
– Santos Escobar defeated Gran Metalik and retained his NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
– NXT aired the vignette of Mercedes Martinez, in which she addresses herast week attack on NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and says she is coming for her.
– Xia Li defeated Katrina Cortez via Pinfall. After the match, Xia Li and Boa walked backstage and bowed to Mystery Woman in chair.
– NXT showed the video of NXT General Manager William Regal announcing that Fight Pit match between Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher cancelled due to minor injury to Thatcher during training. He will be back soon after some rehab and will settle difference later date.
– Bronson Reed with McKenzie Mitchell and cuts a promo about him, saying NXT will see his aggression in 2021. He also predicted Rhea Ripley would be the winner of Last Woman Standing Match.
– Raquel Gonzalez defeated Rhea Ripley in Last Woman Standing Match. After the match Raquel Gonzalez celebrates and Rhea Ripley barely moves under the stage. 
– A car came at the backstage area and outs the NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Austin Theory and Indi Hartwell. They headed towards the ring.
All were in the ring, Johnny Gargano takes the mic and talks about his famous cruse breaking last week after he successfully defending his title against Leon Ruff. Theory also talks about Gargano, says he is like real superhero. He and Hartwell revealed the custom drawing of The Way as superheroes. 
Johnny, then, revealed that he and Theory will be entering into 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. Then, Shotzi Blackheart interrupted them and stands at the ramp. Theroy marched towards her talking trash and she attacked Theory. Gargano wents towards him checking, while, Shotzi run towards ring and took out Hartwell and also attacked Candice. 
Gargano is yelling at Shotzi and Kushida came out from nowhere, stands tall with Shotzi. Then, Dexter Lumis appears and reveals his drawing on big screen and it’s a mixed tag team match and bells it’s starts next.
– Kushida and Shotzi Blackheart defeated Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae via Pinfall. 
– NXT announced special Takeover for valentine’s day on Sunday, February 14th.
– NXT announced Ever-Rise vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans and The Undisputed Era vs. Breezango for next week for the first round of tournament. 
McKenzie Mitchell at backstage with William Regal, he says 2021 will be best year than 2020 and reveals that they will soon have first ever NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Dexter Lumis is drawing the logo for the tournament.
– Finn Balor defeated Kyle O’Reilly and retained his NXT Championship. After the match, referee handed title to Finn, we see blood coming from his top of head. Undisputed Era is checking on Kyle O’Reilly will sits at the corner, clutching his jaw and referees also checking on him. And NXT New Year’s Evil goes off air.
