WWE Royal Rumble 2009 Full Results
The 2009’s Royal Rumble was the 21st annual Royal Rumble event and it took place on January 25th, 2009 at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan with attendance of 16,685. The show featured the talents from the Raw, SmackDown and ECW brands. Total six matches took place at the show including one dark match.
The main event of the show is 30-Man Royal Rumble Match and winner of the match will earn World Championship Match of his choice at either the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, or the ECW Championship at WrestleMania 25 main event.
The main title matches are WWE Champion Jeff Hardy to defend his title against Edge in no disqualification match and John Cena to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Title against JBL. Other title matches are, Jack Swagger set to defend his ECW Championship against Matt Hardy and Beth Phoenix to defend her WWE Women’s Title aganist Melina.

Randy Orton won the annual Royal Rumble Match by last eliminating Triple H and earned WWE World Championship Match at WrestleMania 25
