Tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

– Tonight’s show opened with The Universal Champion Roman Reigns coming to the ring with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso. Roman takes the mic and wished everyone Happy New Year. He continued that 2020 is a rough year but he made it work as Head of the Table, everything he touches turned to greatness. 

He gave example as Paul Heyman and Jey Uso, he turned Jey Uso into Main Event Uso and praised both of them for their success, it’s all because of they acknowledged him as Tribal Cheif. Then, Kevin Owens interrupts him and Roman yells at Owens for interruption. 

Roman says Owens is irrelevant now and now, it’s all about him and his family. Owens says its embarrassing to Roman out here because Reigns and his family failed. They tried to keep out Owens but he is here and now, he is here to fight Jey Uso, who made to keep title with Roman Reigns. Owens says uso will pay tonight for what his cousin has done and once he done with Jey, Reign’s family will have nothing to celebrate and walks to backsatge.

– Big E defeated King Corbin via Disqualification. At the end of the match, Sami Zyan attacked Big E and caused DQ. After the match, Blake and Cutler and attacked Big E but he tries to fight them back. Sami attacked Big E again from behind but Apollo Crews came to save Big E and tossed Sami Zyan into Blake and Culter and stood tall in the ring.

– Big E and Apollo Crews defeated Sami Zyan and King Corbin via Pinfall.

– Adam Pearce at backstage and Kevin Owens walks up to him. Owens says he wants to fight Jey Uso tonight and it would be great if he makes the match. Pearce says he would gave him anyone on the roster other than Jey, then, Owens asks give him Roman Reigns. Pearce says why Owens doing this and both had argued until Owens get then match with Jey Uso.

– Kayla Braxton with Big E and Apollo Crews at backstage and congratulated them for the win. She asks what to expect from Big E in 2021, he says he will be fighting champion and issues open challenge for next week. Apollo Crews says he accepts the challenge and says its honor to fight Big E.

– The Riott Squad defeated Natalya and Tamina Snuka via pinfall.

– Carmella and Bayley defeated Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair via Pinfall.

– Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and Jey Uso at backstage and Reigns isn’t happy with Jey’s match with Owens after what he have done to the company, this means they don’t appreciate him. Roman says Heyman to find the one who doesn’t appreciate him.

– Sonya Deville returns to WWE and walking at backstage and everyone surprised by seein her. Coery Graves confirms that she has been reinstated to Smackdown.

– The Street Profits are in the ring fot their New Year’s  Day Smoke-Tacular. Dawkins started playing drums and Montez Ford to make some predicitions of 2021. He predicts their Intercontinental T-Shirt will be the top seller, that revealed last week to taunt Sami Zyan.  Then, he made fun of Dolph Ziggler and suddenly they were attacked by Ziggler and Robert Roode.

– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Ziggler and Roode and asks about their attack on Street Profits. Ziggler says that they were provoking them for months and they got something belongs them. He continued that they will not stop the attack until they get rematch for tag team titles.

– Daniel Bryan and Otis defeated Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura via Submission. 

– Paul Heyman walks upto Roman Reigns at backstage and says it was Adam Pearce to happen the match tonight. Reigns says they won’t learn and everyone is trying to take what they worked for. Reigns tells Jey to go out there and not let him down.

– Kevin Owens defeated Jey Uso via Pinfall. After the match, Owens continued to punish Jey and called out Roman Reigns but he didn’t show up. Then, Owens grabs Uso and says he will be coming for Roman. Jey fights back and goes towards ThunderDome screens. Owens continued to attack Jey and tried to put him through the table. But Roman Reigns attacked Kevin from behind and both attacked him. Reigns then tossed Owens into the table from the steps of screens and stands tall with Jey Uso and Smackdown goes off air.
