The Swiss Cyborg Cesaro and King of Strong Styles Shinsuke Nakamura had much success as tag team in their short alliance. They won Smackdown Tag Team titles and defended multiple times. They also produced some great matches with the former Tag Team Champions New Day.
But both the superstars are now parted their ways before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and focused on their singles run.
Recently, Cesaro had an interview with Ryan Satin of FOX Sports and spoke about the recent split up between himself and Shinsuke Nakamura. Cesaro said that it was something came out of surprise, they both are good team but had many goals as singles competitors. Cesaro also expressed his happiness for Nakamura’s recent run and hopes he will win Intercontinental Title soon.
Here what Cesaro said about Shinsuke Nakamura:
“I always thought me and Shinsuke were an awesome team, but as good as we were as a team, there are many singles goals that we have as singles competitors, too. When Shinsuke did so well in that gauntlet, I thought that was awesome, you know? It gave him the chance to shine and he got his old theme music back which is awesome! It made me so happy. So, I was very happy for him. I’m still hoping he’s going to win the Intercontinental Championship,” said Cesaro.

Cesaro also had an impressive run as singles competitor after their split up. He defeated former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan twice and also got the opportunity in Universal Title #1 contender Elimination Chamber match. Though, he lost the match, Cesaro put an incredible performance in the match.
Currently, he started feud with The Messiah Seth Rollins, who recently returned to Smackdown after short hiatus. It might be the one of the interesting feuds to look in blue brand.
