On Wednesday, AEW announced that Paul Wight, formerly known as Big Show, joined AEW via their Twitter handle. It was big shocking news for fans and now, we got an update about his departure from WWE.
PWInsider.com reported that Big Show contract with WWE was expired days after Raw Legends Night, in which Big Show was verbally assaulted by The Viper Randy Orton. Then, Big Show and WWE unable to come terms on a new deal financially after his contract expired.
It was also noticed that Paul Wight was very open about his unhappiness about the Raw Legends Night segment.

ONE SOURCE STATED THAT WIGHT WAS VERY OPEN THAT NIGHT ABOUT HIS UNHAPPINESS ABOUT THE SITUATION. AEW announced that Paul Wight has signed a long-term deal with the company and he will work as in-ring competitor as well as a commentator on AEW Dark: Elevation.
Big Show wrestled his last match in WWE on July 20, 2020, episode of Monday Night Raw against Randy Orton in unsanctioned match, in which he Randy Orton got victory over Big Show.
