The A-lister Miz won his 2nd WWE Title at Elimination Chamber pay-per-view by cashing-in his Money in the Bank briefcase. But recently he revealed that he was scheduled to win WWE Championship multiple times.
WWE Champion Miz recently had an interview with TalkSPORT and spoke about several topics including fan reactions about his two WWE Title wins. He also revealed that he had been told bunch of times that he was almost there to win WWE Title but later things changed, he might drafted or something else happened.
Here what The Miz said:
“I have been told many times – 2016, 2017, 2018 – there was a bunch of times where it’s like ‘oh, we’re almost there’ and then I get drafted or something else would happen.”
“Certain things happen and the juggling is always happening. Sometimes you’re there and it’s like ‘ah, it actually happened!’ and other times it’s like [sighs]… I have to work harder. I have to be better, do better, keep elevating myself to get to that moment. And here we sit; that moment took a little while but it’s kind of incredible.”
At Elimination Chamber, Miz shocked the world by winning WWE Title with the help of Bobby Lashley before his cash-in. On next week’s Raw, The Miz is set to defend his WWE Championship against The All Mighty Bobby Lashley.
