Tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. WWE announced the return of The Messiah Seth Rollins tonight and Roman Reigns to make a huge announcement. And we can expect the announcement of Universal Championship match at Elimination Chamber 2021 pay-per-view.

– Tonight’s show is opened with The Universal Champion Roman Reigns coming towards ring with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso. He stares at WWE producer Adam Pearce and asks why he’s standing back there in the corner. Roman says Pearce has no power over him and Edge scared of him because he knows what will if he faces Tribal Chief And then, tells Adam Pearce to make his announcement.

Pearce announces that Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Title inside Elimination Chamber. Then, Reigns says Paul Heyman will handle things now. Heyman says match has to built around Elimination Chamber but there’s nothing says Roman to defend his title in chamber.

Heyman says Adam to put anyone in that match and winner will get title shot against Roman Reigns. Then, Pearce says there will be qualifying matches but two superstars will get spots as they deserves it. There are very familiar to Roman Reigns – Jey Uso and Kevin Owens. Then, Roman gets towards Adam Pearce and threatens him but Paul Heyman reminds to do things on his time.

– The five-time NWA Champion Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville at backstage. She congratulated him for standing up to Roman Reigns and pitches the new idea. She wants to have Tag Team qualifier match and winning team will get spots in Elimination Chamber. Adam Pearce says it works and go ahead with it.

– Sami Zyan cuts promo about his match and complains about having qualify match for spot at Elimination Chamber.

– King Corbin and Sami Zyan defeated Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio via Pinfall and earned spot in #1 Contender Elimination Chamber match.

– At backstage, The Smackdown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode meets Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. They asks to put them in the Elimination Chamber match, then, Deville suggests that they want to be in same page but choosing to be in seperate. Then, she says they could earn the spots if they win the match against Daniel Bryan and Cesaro.

– Reginald the sommelier meets Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks at backstage with a glass of bubbly. He says she is The Boss around here and deserves respect and apologized for what happen previously. Banks tells him to send her regards to Carmella and takes the glass.

– The Intercontinental Champion Big E in the ring and talks about last week’s match, in which he defended his IC Title successfully against Sami Zyan and Apollo Crews. He wants to a fighting champion but Apollo Crews interrupts him. Crews says he knows what Big E is going to say out and he’s here to accept the open challenge.

Big E says Crews is right, he’s going to offer open challenge but anyone in the building will get opportunity but not Crews, he’s done with him. And both had the argument, then, Shinsuke Nakamura makes his way to the ring.

– Big E defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via Disqualification and retained his Intercontinental Championship. At the end of match, Apollo Crews interrupts and attacks Big E with drop kick to cause DQ.

– Entire Smackdown roster assembled at ringside and Seth Rollins came out with his old theme ‘Burn It Down’. He says a lot of things changed here in his absence and he was expecting that. Seth says the thing that changed most is, he became the father for the first time, the parent of a beautiful, perfect baby girl and now, he had new perception and new vision.

He sees a some of most talented performers in the history in this industry and he wonders where he fits. And the answer is very clear that he’s the great leader and he needs to push Smackdown into great future than already it is. He continued to talks about his success but the talent around the ringside is moving back to locker room. 

Cesaro is the one stood at ringside, Seth Rollins says he knew he would see it but Cesaro shakes his head and headed to backstage. Then, Seth Rollins chases him and attacked on ramp. Then, Daniel Bryan came out to make a save.

– Bayley defeated Liv Morgan via pinfall.

– Daniel Bryan and Cesaro interviewed at backstage and they cuts promo about their qualifying match against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

– The Street Profits defeated Chad Gable and Otis via Pinfall.

– The Samckdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks makes her way to the ring. Sasha says she likes Bianca Belair and she is like a little sister to her and praises her. Then, Bianca Belair came out, Belair says she heard every word of Banks and she likes her too. But Sasha isn’t her boss and it’s her time to enjoy every moment.

But WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler interrupts them. Jax says why everyone is ignoring the most dominant force in WWE and everyone should talk about them. Then, Banks and Belair shows the clip of Nia Jax losing to Lana and Baszler losing to Naomi on Raw. Then, the champs attacked Banks and Belair. But Banks and Binaca got upper hand on them.

– Daniel Bryan and Cesaro defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode via Submission and earned spots in #1 Contender Elimination Chamber Match. After the match, Jey Uso attacked Cesaro with steel chair. Then, King Corbin and Sami Zyan came out and took out Daniel Bryan. Then, Sami attacked Corbin and Bryan hits running knee to Sami Zyan. Then, Kevin Ownes came out and hits Stunner to every superstar in the ring. 

We see Paul Heyman and Universal Champion Roman Reigns watching it at backstage, then, Kevin Ownes sees the camera and says he is coming for Roman Reigns and SmackDown goes off air.
