Carlito Revealed The Reason For His Return To WWE And Opens Up About His Future Plans
The former WWE United States Champion Carlito made a surprise return at WWE Royal Rumble 2021 match after a decade. He was with WWE from 2003 to 2010 and released by the company in 2010 for violating Wellness Policy.
Carlito recently appeared as special guest on Corey Graves After The Bell podcast. During the show, Graves asked Carlito about what brought him back to WWE at this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Then, he said that he wanted to end on better terms and glad he finally got that chance.
Here what Carlito said: “What brought me back… I just didn’t like the way things ended. I didn’t expect it to take 10 years to get back. I just wanted to, at least if I came back one time, I just wanted to leave a better taste, feel like… bury the hatchet or whatever. Just everything is on the up and up, you know, happy to be back, happy to be around, and if that was my last time, I was just glad to finally get a chance to come back and end on better terms.”
The SmackDown commentator Corey Graves also asked Carlito about he’s future plans in WWE. Then, Carlito said that he currently don’t have any plans but if he comeback he’s goal is to be a better performer in his own way.
“As of now, I don’t know. We’ll see what the future holds. I don’t know. If the conditions are right, I’d love to be back. My whole goal was to go away, take a breather and come back.
“I feel like I already did what I wanted to do. End things on a better note. If I came back, my goal was to be a better Carlito, be a better performer in my own way, and be a better person too.”
Carlito also showed up on Raw on Royal Rumble fallout episode. He teamed up with Jeff Hardy to take on Elias and Jaxson Ryker and got the huge victory against them.
