Edge Had A Huge Praise For Roman Reigns, Says He Wanted To Face Him For A Long Time
The Rated-R Superstar Edge return to WWE at last year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view after the nine years of his retirement due to neck injury. He had an intense fued with The Viper Randy Orton and was again off to TV due to injury.
At this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Edge entered at No.1 and outlasted 29 other superstars to win the match and earned Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 37.
Now, he had chance of choosing between WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, NXT Champion Finn Balor and Universal Champion Roman Reigns as his opponent at WrestleMania 37 that going to happen at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Edge hasn’t announced his decision year but there is a speculation that he might face thr Universal Champion Roman Reigns, the man he wanted to face for a while ago, at Shows of Immortal.
The 2021 Royal Rumble Winner Edge recently had an interview on The Steve Dangle Podcast and asked about whom he wants to face when he was out of action. Then, Edge first named Roman Reigns and had a huge praise for him.
“For years I’ve been saying, especially when Jay (Christian) and I had our podcast, he (Roman Reigns) was getting all kinds of flak and I never understood it because I know how talented that guy is and I could see the guy that was in there that just kinda wasn’t allowed to come out character wise. So he was a guy that I always saw and I was like ‘Man, what I could do with that guy’.”
The WWE Hall of Famer Edge also named Cesaro, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles as other superstars he also like to face.
After winning the 2021 Royal Rumble match, Edge appeared on fallout episode of SmackDown and had segment with Universal Champion Roman Reigns, which was ended with Kevin Owens hitting Stunner to the Head of the Table.
