Former WWE Writer Reveals The Possible Reason For WWE Holding Off Some Big Storylines
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns having Blockbuster run as top heel in the company right now. Since his return at Summer Slam 2020, he aligned with Paul Heyman and won the Universal Championship. Later, his cousin Jey Uso aligned with him and running the entire SmackDown.
On the recent Sportskeeda’s Legion of Raw, former WWE writer Vince Russo stated that the WWE is holding off some big storylines due to pandemic as there are no crowd at the arena. That storylines includes Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman being basis for the feud and the Roman Reigns facing his own family member, The Rock.
“Here’s what I think is happening. I think they are holding off on a lot of things. And bro, I’m telling you, I think while they are holding off, by the time that they get there, people are not going to care. I’m telling you, bro, I was faced with this a lot where I wanted to do some big things, but no, ‘No no, too soon. Hold it off.'”
“And I say, ‘Hold it off for what? You don’t know what tomorrow brings bro. Do it now, and we’ll come up with the next best thing, and the next best thing, and the next best thing.’ But I think they are holding off on Heyman-Brock-Reigns, the Reigns-Rock, I think they are holding stuff off bro, and I think they are in jeopardy of people not caring, man.”
Paul Heyman also played an important part in Roman Reigns success as heel in the company. After Brock Lesnar’s exit from the company, Paul Heyman aligned with Roman Reigns. Now, WWE Universe expecting that could lead a feud between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar when The Beast returns to the company but it was unsure.
And also Roman Reigns current storyline is all about his family and there is a lot of speculation that The Rock and Roman Reigns will face each other at some point in future. Both the superstars also expressed their desire to face each other via social media and we can expect that big dream match in future.
