Raquel Gonzalez And Dakota Kai Comments On Facing WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler And Nia Jax
At NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez won the inaugural Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament by defeating Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. They also rewarded with WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match. Currently, that titles are held by Raw Superstars Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
The first-ever Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai recently appeared as guest on WWE’s The Bump Show. On the show, they shared their thoughts on facing the Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
Kai said that current tag team champions are very dominant force and it’s definitely going to be a big challenge but they’re ready for it. She also looking forward to see Raquel steps in ring with Jax.
“Nia and Shayna are a very dominant tag team, everyone knows that. I think them combined is definitely going to be a challenge, but I think we’ve got this, and I don’t know about you guys but I am looking forward to when Raquel steps in the ring with Nia. I think that’s gonna be a really freaking cool moment. Pretty good.”

Raquel Gonzalez also spoke about her comparisons with Nia Jax and said that she can’t wait to face Nia Jax in the ring. She also stated that no one can stop them to bring the Women’s Tag Team titles to NXT brand.
“Oh yeah, I cannot wait to step into that ring with Nia Jax. That is like the ultimate mountain that is to climb right now for me and that would definitely be something that would solidify my position as a dominant woman on the NXT roster. And especially if we get the opportunity to bring those titles down to NXT – like I said, that train ain’t stopping any time soon.”
