Reported Reason Why Roman Reigns Isn’t Defending His Universal Title Inside Elimination Chamber
Last week on Friday Night Smackdown, Adam Pearce announced that Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Title inside Elimination Chamber but Paul Heyman said that there is no rule to Roman Reigns to defend his title inside chamber.
Then, Heyman said that Pearce tp pick the superstars for Elimination Chamber match and winner of that match will get Universal Title opportunity later on the pay-per-view on February 21st.
After that Adam Pearce announced that Kevin Owens and Jey Uso will the first two superstars in the Chamber match and later on the show Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, King Corbin and Sami Zyan qualified for the Elimination Chamber match. Now, Dave Meltzer reported the reason why Roman Reigns isn’t defending his Universal Title inside Chamber.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that it’s the way to get heat on Reigns. Actual plan was Roman to be in Chamber match but the company didn’t want to do it on both the brands.
“It’s a way to get heat on Reigns. Originally, Reigns was going to be in the chamber match. That was the original idea and then I guess they didn’t want to do it on both shows or something. Whatever…they wanted to tweak it, so they tweaked it.”
At the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, on Raw side, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will defend his title inside Elimination Chamber against AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston this Sunday.
