This WWE Superstar Reportedly Chosen To Win Smackdown Elimination Chamber Match To Face Roman Reigns (Spoiler)
This Sunday at Elimination Chamber 2021, Daniel, Bryan, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, King Corbin, Sami Zyan and Jey Uso will battle in the Elimination Chamber match. The winner of that match will get the Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns later that night in the event.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan have strong chance of winning the Chamber match but it will most likely that we will see Cesaro come out of top in the match.
Meltzer also noted that it was originally Cesaro set to be the star in the Gauntlet match but they made Shinsuke Nakamura as Cesaro didn’t sign new deal. They are thinking about Bryan vs. Reigns since his return but Bryan is losing often and it would favored Cesaro with this match.
They’ve been trying to feature Cesaro of late. It is notable that they made Shinsuke Nakamura into a babyface star in the gauntlet and didn’t use him here, choosing Cesaro, who was originally to be the star of the gauntlet until that was changed because he hadn’t signed a new deal. There had been talk of Reigns vs. Bryan since Reigns’ return, but with Bryan losing so often, it would make sense to do the match, since it would be great, without a build just to get it done.
