“We’ve never wrestled, which is insane” – Edge Wants To Face Top Raw Superstar
The Rated-R Superstar Edge recently return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view after recovering from the injury. He entered the number 1 spot in Royal Rumble match and outlasted 29 other superstars to win the match. Now, He got the opportunity to face the champion of his chosen at WrestleMania 37 main event.
The WWE Hall of Famer Edge recently appeared on The Steve Dangle Podcast and spoke about numerous topics. During the podcast, he also named the some wrestlers he wants to face in WWE. In that names, AJ Styles was the one he stressed more to face.
Here what Edge said: “There’s loads of them, there really is. A guy like Cesaro or Seth Rollins or AJ Styles. Like AJ Styles- So I started in ’92, and I think AJ started in ’96, and we’ve never wrestled, which is insane. We’ve both been in the industry that long. We were just always in separate places. He was TNA or he was Japan and I was WWE my entire career, so that’s another aspect of it too. These are just guys that I should have wrestled, that I should have by now, so that’s really cool”
Both the superstars in the wrestling industry for a long time but they never had chance to face eachother. When Edge was in WWE, AJ Styles was worked for other promotions and now, both are in WWE. So, there is more likely to see that dream match between the big superstars in the WWE.
At Elimination Chamber 2021 pay-per-view, Drew McIntyre set to defend his WWE Championship against five other superstars inside Chamber and The Phenomenal One AJ Styles was one of the opponent in that match. So, there may be a chance for Styles to win the title and Edge can choose Styles to face at WrestleMania event.
