WWE Reportedly Dropped The Major Angle Involving Aalyah Mysterio
Aalyah Mysterio, daughter of Rey Mysterio, became the most popular star in WWE in short time. She made her WWE TV debut when Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio feuding with Seth Rollins and his disciple Murphy, then became the regular on TV.
In the storyline, Aalyah had soft corner towards Murphy and later they started dating on-screen. Initially, Rey and Dominik opposed their relationship but later they accepted Murphy to become the part of Mysterio family.
According to the Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason for Murhpy and Aalyah absence on WWE TV is that they have nothing for them current and might drop that angle.
Regarding the Murphy/Aalyah disappearance, that was noted this week when during the Rollins promo, Murphy was one of the wrestlers at ringside, never pointed out or focused, so he was at TV. It was just an angle dropped. There’s no backstory or behind-the-scenes story on it. I guess they had no idea where to take it and thus dropped it.
Previously, it was reported that WWE had plan to have feud between Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio and Murphy (with Aalyah Mysterio) against King Corbin, Wesley Blake and Steve Culter but it was dropped after Culter released by WWE.
