Tonight’s Wednesday Night NXT is live from WWE Capitol Wrestling Center at WWE Performance Center at Orlando, Florida. Vic Joseph welcomes us and joined by Wade Barrett and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix at ringside area.

– Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Team Ninja via Pinfall and entered into the finals of Dusty Rhodes Women’s Tag Team Classic Tournament.

– Alyse Ashton at backstage with Toni Strom for an interview. Toni Strom cuts promo about her Triple Threat Match at NXT: Takeover with NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and Mercedes Martinez.

– We see the 2021 Royal Rumble Winner Edge talking with NXT General Manager William Regal at backstage.

– Austin Theory defeated Leon Ruff via Pinfall. After the match, Theory attacked Ruff and tried to use timekeeper bell at ringside area but Dexter Lumis appears and grabbed Theory. Lumis applied The Silence submission move on Theory, but Theory managed to escape.

– We get the video package of Santos Escobar cutting promo about their team Legado Del Fantasma, says they are the future of NXT and its end for Lucha House Party and Curt Stallion.

– We get the vignette of Xia Li and Boa with mystery women. Tian Sha was the name of women and she told the story of a family in ancient china. Segment ends with Xia Li and Boa.

– Legado Del Fantasma defeated Lucha House Party via Pinfall. After the match, MSK came out and stood near Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team trophy. They congratulated Wilde and Mendoza and warned about their match at semifinals.

– At parking lot, SUV came in, Pete Dunne and NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Pete says them to find out NXT Champion Finn Balor and entered the building.

– Pete Dunne in the ring with NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Pete calls out Finn Balor and the champ came out. Finn says Dunne always hide behind his two clowns, Dunne says he doesn’t hide behind anyone and the Tag Team Champions left the ring.

Then, Finn Balor proposes NXT Title match between him and Pete Dunne at NXT Takeover Vengeance on valentine’s day. Then, music hits Rated R Superstar Edge came out. Edge talks about NXT brand and says by winning the Royal Rumble match he had chance of challenging any championship at WrestleMania. 

Edge further says he will be watching their match very close at Takeover because he never held NXT Title. If he hasn’t made his choice for WrestleMania till Takeover then their fight may force him to look at NXT Title. And Edge walks off, Balor and Dunne stare at eachother in the ring.

– Alyse Ashton with NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano for an interview. Gargano predicts that Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell will win the Dusty Rhodes Women’s Tag Team Classic. Then, Alyse Ashton informs that Johnny Gargano will defend his title at Takeover against Kushida. Gargano was upset and walks to Regal’s office with Alyse Ashton. 

But Kushida opens the Regal’s office door and says Regal is busy. Johnny Gargano attacked Kushida and big brawl broke out, Regal and officials came out to separate them.

– Jessi James defeated Toni Strom via disqualification. During the match, Mercedes Martinez attacked Toni Strom and caused DQ. After the match, NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai came out and took out both the superstars and stand tall.

– Santos Escobar defeated Curt Stallion via Pinfall and retained his NXT Cruiserweight Title. After the match, Karrion Kross attacked Legado Del Fantasma.

– Edge and Bronson Breed at backstage. Breed asks Edge if he made decision, then, Edge says if he made he wouldn’t tell anyone whoever is asking. Karrion Kross walks up and threatens Edge about his decision, he says Edge to make his decision wise because he will be the next NXT Champion.

– Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa defeated The Undisputed Era via Pinfall and advanced to next round of Dusty Rhodes Men’s Tag Team Classic. After the match, Thatcher and Ciampa came near trophy but Drizzled Young Veterans came and brawl breaks out at ramp.
