The former United States Champion Andrade recently had an interview with Lucha Libre Online and discussed about several topics including details about his WWE release.
Duirng the interview, Andrade revealed that a lot of people at backstage treated him well including Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton. He also said that Randy Orton once asked him why they aren’t using him on WWE TV but Andrade didn’t have answer. Then, he made his decision to leave the company.
“A lot of people treated me well, Drew too and Randy Orton. [Randy] would ask me, ‘Why aren’t they using you?’ I didn’t know what to say and didn’t know what was going on. After that, I made the decision [to leave].” (H/T: Fightful)
Andrade last wrestled against his former tag team partner Angel Garza in October 2020. Following the match, he wasn’t drafted to any brand and taken off to WWE TV.
It was also reported that Andrade initial request for his release is rejected by WWE but later company granted his release on March 21st, 2021.
