The Christian made his surprise in-ring return at WWE Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view after seven years and also had emotional reunion with his tag team partner Edge. WWE fans thought that he would sign with WWE but his sudden jump to AEW came out as huge shocker for the fans.

Now, Fightful Select revealed the WWE’s backstage reaction to the Christian AEW debut. According to the report, WWE superstar didn’t know about Christian’s AEW singing and there also suspicious at backstage as WWE didn’t use him since his return at WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
WWE higer-ups told to Fightful that it wasn’t coincidence to not being referenced Christian name on WWE TV after his Royal Rumble appearance. It was also noted that WWE officials let down by the Christian’s decision to move to All Elite Wrestling.
It was also reported that WWE has no one to blame for Captain Charisma’s move to AEW as the company it didn’t lock down the contract with Christian.
It was also noted that, a talent highly spoke about Christian, expressed happiness for the WWE Legend move as it makes Christian happy. It was also added that several talent in the AEW along with Paul Wight and Tony Khan, aware about the Christian’s arrival to AEW but they kept it as secret.
