The Shield is the most dominant stable in WWE history. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are the members of The Shield who ran through WWE to show their dominance in the company. But Big E revealed that he was also set to debut with them but later it was nixed.
WWE recently released the Big E’s WWE 24 special on WWE Network this Sunday. In that, Big E revealed that WWE had plans to team up Roman, Seth, Dean and him together to make debut but later plans were changed.
“My first feeling of getting called up was 2012. I was doing loops. Any collective period of days is a loop. It’s Roman, Seth, Dean, and me. There was some thought of bringing all four of us in together as a group. Obviously, that changes, and they go on to international fame as The Shield.”

After a month of The Shield debut, Big E moved to main roster and aligned with Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee in an attack on John Cena.
Later, Big E became the part of another dominant group New Day along with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. This faction became the huge success and had total 10 reigns as WWE Tag Team Champions and also longest tag team title holders.
