This week on Monday Night Raw, the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre cuts a promo about Bobby Lashley and MVP and said that if you won’t deliver what you promised, then, fans upset and sparks fly.
“I noticed that MVP made some guarantees tonight. That’s such a dangerous thing to do in this industry. If you make a guarantee and don’t deliver, fans get upset and sparks fly.”
With this fans thought that Drew McIntyre was took shot at AEW for the explosion occurred at AEW Revolution after the Kenny Omega’s World Title retain against Jon Moxley. This explosion segment of AEW was heavily criticized by the wrestling fans and Tony Khan also stated that Kenny Omega’s “master plan” was a dud.

In a recent interview with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes, Drew McIntyre stated that he doesn’t take any shot at AEW during his Raw promo. He went out and said what came in his mind and later he realised that fans would take it only after he came to backstage. He also said that he doesn’t like taking shots at other promotions and it doesn’t good for business.
“I went out there, I said that, and I [heard] ‘sparks fly’ come out my mouth. I didn’t think twice about it, I just rolled right through it, I said my whole interview and watched the match ringside—which was an awesome match—and I came back, and somebody came up to me and said ‘I saw what you did there.’ ‘What did I do?’ And then they played it out to me and I went ‘oh, yeah, that could be taken that way.”
“Maybe subconsciously I made a joke…I don’t like that shot back-and-forth stuff, I don’t see the point, it’s not good for business.”
