The former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre recently had an interview with Bleacher Report and asked about who should get main event push in WWE next. Then, Drew McIntyre said that the Swiss Superman Cesaro deserves the major push in WWE.
He said that from five years everyone saying it’s Cesrao and it’s ture. He also stated that he never step in the ring with Cesaro and looking forward be in the ring with him. Here what Drew McIntyre said:
”We’re watching it right now. I think everyone and their dog have been saying Cesaro [is due for a push] for about five years, and it’s true. The fact of the matter is I’ve never been in the ring and had a match with him. I can just tell watching him. Usually, you can only tell how good someone is when you get in with them. If I got in with him, that would be so much fun.”
The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre himself has been waiting for 17 years for a major push in WWE and to become the WWE Champion. Now, Drew McIntyre is set to face Bobby Lashley for WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37.
Cesaro was 7-time Tag Team Champion and former United States Champion, during his long tenure in WWE. Currently, he is feuding with Seth Rollins on WWE Friday Night Smackdown and expected that they would have match at WrestleMania.
Drew McIntyre also commented on feud between Cesaro and Seth Rollins. He said that he was excited about how they are going to do it. He believes that if they built in right way for Cesrao then he would definitely break into next level.
“But to see him getting an opportunity to work with someone as good as Seth—and Seth is incredible—I’m excited to see where they’re going to go. If they give this the right build, present Cesaro in a way that highlights his strengths and get to that match, it’d be cool to see Cesaro break into the next level and finally have a match with Drew McIntyre.”
