In a recent interview on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Eric Bischoff was asked to share his thoughts on Goldberg continuing wrestling in 2021. Then, Eric Bischoff said that Goldberg is only in the wrestling business for the money but not love towards the business.

He also said that he and Goldberg isn’t close friends and but they had friendly relationship. He also stated that he didn’t mean to offend former Universal Champion and also apologized. Here what Eric Bischoff said about Goldberg.

“Goldberg is doing it for the money. This is not love for the business, or I want to get out there and perform. In my opinion, sorry Bill, you and I aren’t close friends, but we are friends. If what I’m saying offends you, Bill, I apologize because I don’t mean it to, but c’mon.”

Eric Bischoff also said that Goldberg made a smart decision of making seven figure check for working five minutes. He would also do the same thing if we’re in his place.

“Do you think he’s doing it for fun, or do you think he’s doing it for the money? He’s smart. That’s not a bad thing. That’s what I’m saying. I’m not putting him down. If I had the ability at Bill’s age and look the way Bill did and somebody said, ‘Hey, I’ll stroke you a seven-figure check to come in and work for five minutes,’ c’mon. Let’s be honest with ourselves and not bust anybody’s b*lls over it. Every one of us would do it. We dream about that opportunity.” (H/T: WrestlingNews.co)

Goldberg last wrestled at Royal Rumble pay-per-view in which he challenged Drew McIntyre for WWE Title. However, he lost the match and wasn’t seen on WWE TV since then.
